Common Causes

- Damaged keypad scan IC or matrix scanning circuit on the main board
- Loose panel clips causing misalignment between key contacts and the circuit board
Self-Check Steps
- Disconnect power and re-seat the keypad flat ribbon cable connector
- Clean the keypad surface and edges with a soft cloth and a small amount of isopropyl alcohol
- Observe button feedback — check for beep or display change when pressing
- If only a few keys fail, the membrane conductive coating is likely worn; if all keys fail, the main board is the probable cause and the panel assembly may need replacement
