Self-Check Steps

- Check if the outdoor unit has power — listen for a hum from the compressor that does not start (seizure indication).
- Use a clamp meter to measure compressor start current — very high current with immediate trip indicates seizure.
- Measure the winding resistance across the three compressor terminals for balance (inverter compressor requires special tools).
