- Check door closure: Confirm the door closes fully with no visible gap. A crisp click should be heard when shutting
- Inspect door latches: Open the door and examine the plastic latches (usually 2-3 protrusions) for cracks or breakage
- Clean contacts: With power disconnected, wipe the switch area and door latches with a dry cloth to remove grease
- Test switches: Use a multimeter in continuity mode to test each door switch in both open and closed positions (switch should conduct when door is shut)
