- 待机电源 IC(如 VIPer22A、LNK5xxx 系列、TNYxxx 系列)损坏,5VSB 完全无输出。

Meaning
The Skyworth TV has detected a standby power circuit abnormality. Code E17 indicates that the 5VSB (5V Standby) voltage output is abnormal. The standby power supply is an auxiliary circuit on the PSU that operates continuously. When the TV is in standby mode, it powers the standby control MCU on the main board and the IR/Bluetooth receiver. A 5VSB fault can cause the TV to fail to enter standby properly, fail to wake up via remote, become unresponsive to power-on, or exhibit intermittent restart behavior.
Common Causes
- The standby power controller IC (e.g., VIPer22A, LNK5xxx series, TNYxxx series) is damaged, with no 5VSB output at all.
- The standby power filter capacitor has aged and bulged, causing excessive ripple on the 5VSB output and destabilizing the main board MCU.
- The standby power transformer winding has shorted or the feedback optocoupler has aged, causing the 5VSB output to be too high or too low (outside 4.75V-5.25V range).
- A short circuit on the standby power rail on the main board is pulling down the 5VSB voltage.
- The relay or MOSFET switch on the PSU fails to engage the main power supply after power-on, preventing the TV from waking from standby.
- The startup resistor for the standby IC has increased in value, making cold startup difficult (the TV starts OK when warm but fails when cold).
Self-Check Steps
- Observe the standby indicator — if it does not light at all or flickers very dimly, this points to a 5VSB supply issue.
- Try powering on using both the remote control and the TV panel standby button — if neither works, the standby power section is likely at fault.
- Disconnect power for 2 minutes and reconnect — if the TV powers on OK initially but later fails to wake from standby, this may be a thermal stability issue in the standby circuit.
- Check whether the household mains voltage is normal — very low voltage can make standby power startup difficult.
- Standby power faults often involve the high-voltage side (300V DC after rectification). Do not attempt DIY repair without professional experience. Contact Skyworth after-sales service.
