English
Meaning
The Skyworth TV has detected a WiFi module abnormality. Code E7 indicates that the wireless network module has failed to initialize or has a communication issue. The built-in WiFi module (typically Realtek/MTK/Broadcom based) cannot start normally, or the SDIO/USB interface with the main board has lost communication. The TV functions normally otherwise, but wireless network connectivity is unavailable — online streaming, system updates, and screen casting features will not work.
Common Causes
- The WiFi module hardware is damaged — the internal chip has failed and cannot operate.
- Power supply to the WiFi module on the main board is abnormal (3.3V or 1.8V missing or excessive ripple).
- The connector between the module and the main board has loose contact (for pluggable modules) or the ribbon cable is loose.
- The WiFi driver in the system software is abnormal or configuration data is corrupted.
- The antenna connector is loose or the antenna is damaged, causing the module to detect an open antenna circuit and disable transmission.
- After a system update, the WiFi firmware version is incompatible with the hardware.
Self-Check Steps
- Restart the TV and check whether WiFi is accidentally turned off in the settings menu. Try turning it off and on again.
- Go to Settings - Network - Advanced Settings, select “Forget All Networks,” then search and reconnect to WiFi.
- Reset the TV’s network settings to factory defaults (choose network reset in settings).
- Check for strong electromagnetic interference near the TV (microwave ovens, cordless phones). Try moving the router closer to the TV.
- If the TV supports wired Ethernet, connect via cable to test — if wired works but WiFi does not, the issue is isolated to the WiFi module.
