Error code 28 indicates a motor speed sense circuit fault. The main control board monitors motor speed in real time through a speed sensor (Hall sensor or tachometer coil) on the motor. This fault is triggered when the speed signal is lost, the frequency is abnormal, or it does not match the drive command. Without speed feedback, the controller cannot perform closed-loop speed regulation and must stop the motor to prevent a runaway condition.
Common Causes
- The motor speed sensor (Hall element or tachogenerator) is damaged and cannot produce a speed pulse signal.
- The wiring harness between the speed sensor and the main control board is open-circuited, shorted, or the connector has poor contact.
