English
Meaning
Gas sensor anomaly. The sensor for detecting harmful gases (VOC/formaldehyde/odors) is reading abnormally or is unavailable.
Common Causes
- Gas sensor element poisoned by prolonged exposure to high concentrations of alcohol or siloxane vapors
- Broken heater wire inside the sensor preventing it from reaching operating temperature
- Sensor aging — typical electrochemical gas sensor lifespan is 2-3 years
- Residual high-concentration odorants near the sensor keeping readings artificially elevated
- Loose solder joints or socket connection on the sensor module
Self-Check Steps
- Move the purifier to a well-ventilated clean area and run for 24 hours to see if readings normalize
- Clean the ventilation holes on the gas sensor housing to ensure free gas diffusion
- Avoid using high-concentration alcohol, disinfectants, or scented products near the purifier
- Verify the sensor module is securely plugged into the main board connector
- If the above steps fail, the sensor has reached end-of-life and needs replacement
