Microwave humidity sensor fault. E7 indicates the main control chip detects an abnormal signal from the humidity sensor (typically a thin-film capacitive or resistive moisture sensing element located in the exhaust duct). Auto-cook and defrost functions may not work correctly.
Common Causes
- Humidity sensor sensing film contaminated by oil vapor, causing失效
- Damaged heating element inside the sensor (used for desiccant regeneration on some models)
- Loose or oxidized humidity sensor lead connector
- Condensation buildup in the exhaust duct causing false sensor readings
- Sensor sensitivity drift from prolonged exposure to high-humidity environment

Self-Check Steps
- Power cycle: Unplug the microwave for 5 minutes, then reconnect to see if E7 clears
- Clean exhaust duct: Open the microwave top cover, locate the humidity sensor in the exhaust duct (usually near the vent). Gently wipe oil residue from the sensor surface with a dry cloth
- Check connector: Locate the humidity sensor connector on the main board and reseat it
- Air dry: Leave the microwave door open for 30 minutes to allow the sensor to dry naturally, then retest
