2. Door catch or strike broken, deformed, or missing, unable to depress the door switch fully.

5. Main control board door signal detection circuit damaged, unable to read the switch state correctly.

Self-Check Steps

1. Inspect the door catch (strike) for cracks or breakage — press it to verify spring action; replace the catch assembly if broken.
2. Manually depress the door switch plunger and use a multimeter continuity test to verify the switch opens and closes correctly in both positions.
3. Visually examine the wiring harness at the door hinge for chafing or broken strands; flex the wires while watching the multimeter for intermittent continuity loss.
4. Clean lint and debris from around the door switch to ensure the plunger moves freely without sticking.
5. Jumper the two pins on the door switch connector — if E41 clears, replace the door switch; if the code persists, inspect the main control board.
