- Locate the heater relay and, with the drying cycle running, measure for 12V or 24V DC across the relay coil terminals — no voltage indicates a control board drive circuit failure.
- Test the relay normally-open contacts: they should show continuity when the relay is energized and open (infinite) when de-energized; continuous continuity indicates welded contacts.
- Inspect solder joints on the main board around the relay driver section for ring cracks; reflow or replace the board as needed.
