5. ESD damage or internal short in the timing controller IC on the logic board

Self-Check Steps

1. Unplug and re-seat the flat ribbon cables (COF) between the T-Con board and the panel, ensuring clean contacts
2. Verify the ribbon cables between panel and T-Con are fully seated under the latch
3. Measure key T-Con test points with a multimeter: VGH (typically 20-30V), VGL (-5 to -8V), VDA (12-15V)
4. If voltages are correct but image distortion persists, the T-Con IC itself is likely damaged and the board needs replacement
