- Low compressor winding insulation resistance to ground causing IPM overcurrent

- DC bus voltage too high or too low for the IPM operating range
- Abnormal inverter drive control signals or mismatched PWM carrier frequency
Self-Check Steps
- Power off, allow the IPM to cool, then restart to rule out thermal protection
- Measure each IPM output phase for short circuits to ground
- Check the IPM heatsink mounting and thermal grease condition
- IPM module failure typically requires replacement of the outdoor main control board or the IPM module itself
