- 用万用表测量四通阀线圈阻值——正常约 1kΩ–2kΩ。若为无穷大（开路）或 0Ω（短路），线圈损坏需更换。
- 听四通阀管路温度变化——若切换模式后管路温度无变化，可能阀芯未切换到位。

Meaning
The 4-way reversing valve is abnormal; heating/cooling mode switching has failed. E7 indicates the system has detected abnormal 4-way valve operation. Heat-pump air conditioners rely on the 4-way valve to switch refrigerant flow direction between cooling and heating modes.
Common Causes
- The 4-way valve solenoid coil is damaged (open or short circuit), unable to generate magnetic force to drive the valve spool.
- The internal valve spool is stuck in the middle position; refrigerant cannot properly switch direction, causing internal bypass leakage.
- The valve slider is stuck due to system debris or foreign particles and cannot move to the other end.
- The 4-way valve pilot capillary tube is blocked, preventing the required pressure differential for switching.
- The 4-way valve control circuit (relay) on the main board is damaged and cannot supply power to the coil.
- Insufficient system refrigerant charge resulting in inadequate pressure differential for switching.
Self-Check Steps
- Run the AC in cooling mode, then switch to heating mode. Touch the 4-way valve body to feel for a distinct “click” vibration — the normal sound of valve spool switching.
- Use a multimeter to measure the 4-way valve coil resistance — normal is approximately 1kΩ–2kΩ. If infinite (open) or 0Ω (short), the coil is damaged and needs replacement.
- Listen for temperature changes in the 4-way valve piping — if no change occurs after switching modes, the valve spool may not have moved into position.
