The TV Timing Controller (T-con) board is not responding; the screen shows no display, is black, or has abnormal picture. E3 indicates that communication between the main board and the T-con board has been interrupted — the T-con cannot receive or process image data and control signals from the main board.

1. The LVDS cable between the main board and T-con board is damaged, broken, or poorly connected at either end.
2. The main control IC on the T-con board is internally damaged, producing no signal output.
3. Missing T-con board power supply — a blown fuse resistor or open power supply trace.

2. Use a multimeter to check continuity across the fuse resistor on the T-con board (usually marked “F” or “F1”) — if open, replace with a fuse resistor of the same rating.
3. With power on, use a multimeter to measure the T-con board’s power supply test point (typically 12V or 5V) to confirm power is reaching the T-con board.
4. If you have a same-model T-con board on hand, try a substitution test. T-con boards are typically not bound to panel parameters and have a high success rate with generic replacements.
