- Machine placed in an awkward position (e.g., leaning against a wall) keeping the trigger depressed
Self-Check Steps
- Check for foreign objects jamming the trigger; blow compressed air into the trigger crevices
- Press and release the trigger repeatedly with your finger, feeling for smooth return action
- Inspect around the trigger for liquid residue or sticky grime; clean with an alcohol wipe
- Let the machine sit idle for a few minutes, then power on again to see if the trigger state resets
- If the trigger is mechanically seized and cannot return, the handle assembly must be opened to inspect the return spring
