Self-Check Steps
- Flush the system for 3-5 minutes before retesting — stagnant water in the lines may give false readings
- Remove the sensor probe and descale with citric acid solution
- Check if the RO membrane is overdue — replace if in service over 24 months
- After installing new filters, flush for 10 extra minutes to clear carbon fines
- Cross-check with a handheld TDS meter to determine if the sensor needs calibration
