Self-Check Steps

1. E8 typically appears in heating mode as an informative fault and may auto-recover within a short time.
2. Temporarily switch the unit to cooling mode for a few minutes to force defrost, then switch back to heating.
3. Check whether the area around the outdoor unit is wet and cold with significant ice buildup; this is normal under certain environmental conditions.
4. If E8 occurs frequently over a long period, the defrost sensor or 4-way valve may be faulty; contact Hisense service.
