E40 表示门解锁故障——程序结束后门无法打开。当洗涤程序完成或用户按下暂停/取消后，控制器需通过门锁组件（PTC 器件）断电冷却来解除门锁；若在规定时间内门锁仍保持锁止状态，系统将显示 E40。此故障会导致衣物无法取出，但洗衣机本身不含水时是安全的。
常见原因
- PTC 门锁组件冷却速度异常，双金属片不能及时复位释放锁扣，常见于使用寿命末期的锁体。
- 门锁机构内部机械卡滞（如锁舌摩擦力过大、弹簧疲劳），即使电控信号正确也无法物理解锁。
- 门体因长期受力或碰撞而产生轻微变形，导致门钩与锁体之间存在持续应力，阻碍锁扣回弹。
- 控制主板门锁驱动电路持续给门锁送电（如继电器触点粘连），导致 PTC 无法断电冷却。
- 程序被中途强制断电后再通电，门锁处于不确定状态，控制器复位流程未能正确初始化门锁。
自助排查
- 等待 2–3 分钟让 PTC 门锁自然冷却——门锁组件在断电后需要时间降温，过早试图拉门可能导致更严重的机械卡死。
- 若等待无效，拔掉电源插头，等待至少 5 分钟后再插电，让控制主板完成完整复位，门锁可能在此过程中自动解锁。
- 轻轻向门内侧按压门体（缓解门钩与锁体间应力），同时尝试转动程序旋钮到”停止/复位”位置后再拉门。
- 部分型号设有紧急开锁拉索（位于机身前下方面板内，通常为橙色或红色拉环），拔掉电源后轻拉拉索可机械解锁。
- 切勿用蛮力或工具撬门——这会损坏门封圈和门钩。若所有方法无效，联系富及第售后上门处理门锁组件。

E40 indicates a door unlock fault — the door cannot be opened after a cycle ends. After a wash program finishes or the user presses Pause/Cancel, the controller must allow the door lock assembly (PTC device) to cool and release the lock. If the door remains locked beyond the specified time, the system displays E40. This fault prevents laundry from being retrieved, but the washer is safe as long as there is no standing water inside.
Common Causes
- The PTC door lock assembly cools abnormally; the bimetal strip cannot reset in time to release the latch — commonly seen in lock assemblies nearing the end of their service life.
- The lock mechanism has internal mechanical binding (e.g., excessive latch friction, fatigued spring), preventing physical unlocking even when the electrical signal is correct.
- The door body has slightly deformed from long-term stress or impact, creating persistent tension between the door hook and lock assembly that prevents the latch from springing back.
- The control board door lock drive circuit continues to supply power to the lock (e.g., relay contact welding), preventing the PTC from cooling.
- The washer was forcefully de-energized mid-cycle and then powered back on, leaving the door lock in an indeterminate state that the controller’s reset sequence could not properly reinitialize.
Self-Check Steps
- Wait 2–3 minutes for the PTC door lock to cool naturally — the lock assembly needs time to cool after power removal; trying to pull the door open too soon may cause more severe mechanical jamming.
- If waiting does not help, unplug the power cord and wait at least 5 minutes before plugging back in. This allows the control board to perform a full reset, during which the door lock may release automatically.
- Gently press the door inward toward the machine (to relieve tension between the hook and lock body), and simultaneously try to rotate the program knob to “Stop/Reset” before pulling the door open.
- Some models have an emergency release cable (located inside the front lower access panel, usually an orange or red pull ring). After unplugging the washer, gently pull this cable to mechanically unlock the door.
