2. 检查驱动皮带是否断裂或从皮带轮上脱出——皮带脱落时电机虽能转动但滚筒不转，测速反馈可能出现异常。
3. 对于使用碳刷的机型，检查碳刷是否已磨损至极限（长度不足 1 cm），如磨损严重需更换碳刷。
4. 手动旋转电机皮带轮/滚筒，检查是否有明显卡阻感——若能顺畅转动，排除机械卡死；若卡死，需拆检轴承和电机转子。
5. E50 涉及强电和高速旋转部件，以上目视检查无法解决时，请勿自行拆解电机——联系富及第售后由专业技师使用万用表测试测速线圈及主板驱动回路。

E50 indicates a motor tachometer fault — the motor speed sensor (Hall sensor or tachogenerator) has failed to detect a motor rotation signal. During wash or spin cycles, the controller must monitor motor speed in real time to adjust drive signals. If no speed feedback pulse is received for several consecutive seconds, the system determines motor operation is abnormal and stops. This fault may originate from the motor itself, the tachometer coil, or the connecting wiring.

Common Causes

1. The motor tachometer coil (located at the rear of the motor) is open or shorted and cannot produce normal speed pulse signals.
2. The tachometer signal wiring harness between the motor and control board is broken, the connector is loose, or the pins are oxidized, interrupting signal transmission.
3. The motor carbon brushes are severely worn (universal-motor models), with poor contact between brushes and commutator, preventing the motor from starting — the tachometer sensor also detects no rotation.
4. The motor rotor or bearings are mechanically seized; when powered, the motor stalls without rotating, and the speed signal remains zero.
5. The control board tachometer signal processing circuit (e.g., comparator, optocoupler isolation loop) is damaged and cannot correctly decode the speed pulses.

Self-Check Steps

1. Unplug the power cord. With safety confirmed, open the rear panel and check the wiring harness in the motor area for visible scorching, broken wires, or loose connectors.
2. Check whether the drive belt is broken or has slipped off the pulleys — if the belt is off, the motor may still spin but the drum will not turn, leading to abnormal speed feedback.
3. For models using carbon brushes, inspect whether the brushes are worn to their limit (length under 1 cm). If severely worn, the brushes need replacement.
4. Manually rotate the motor pulley or drum by hand to check for noticeable resistance or binding. If rotation is smooth, mechanical seizure is ruled out; if seized, the bearings and motor rotor need disassembly inspection.
5. E50 involves high voltage and high-speed rotating components. If the visual checks above do not resolve the issue, do not attempt to disassemble the motor yourself — contact Frigidaire after-sales service to have a qualified technician test the tachometer coil and control board drive circuit with a multimeter.
