- 用万用表电阻档测量加热管两端阻值——正常约 20Ω–50Ω(视功率而定,如 2000W 约 24Ω)。若为无穷大则加热管内部断开。
- 用兆欧表或万用表高阻档测量加热管对地绝缘——正常应>1MΩ。若绝缘电阻过低,加热管需更换。
- 检查加热管接线端子是否有烧焦痕迹——如有,清理并重新紧固或更换接线端子。
- 加热管更换涉及拆解洗衣机外桶和密封处理,建议联系 TCL 售后上门更换。

The heating element or heating circuit has a fault. E6 indicates the washing machine’s heating tube (used to heat the wash water) circuit is abnormal — open circuit, short circuit, or circuit protection activation. Loss of heating function prevents high-temperature wash cycles (e.g., 60°C or 90°C programs).
Common Causes
- The heating tube’s internal heating wire has burned out and is open circuit; resistance is infinite.
- The heating tube housing is cracked or seal has failed; leakage current to ground triggers leakage protection.
- The heating tube terminals are burned, loose, or oxidized, causing poor contact.
- The heating relay on the main board has welded contacts or is damaged and cannot complete the heating circuit.
- The temperature sensor (NTC) is faulty and the system incorrectly determines the water temperature has already reached the target, so it does not activate heating.
- The thermostat (overheat protector) has false-triggered or is permanently open.
Self-Check Steps
- Run a cold-water-only wash program (without selecting any heating function) to test whether the washer completes the cycle normally. If it does, the issue is isolated to the heating circuit.
- Use a multimeter in resistance mode to measure across the heating tube terminals — normal is approximately 20Ω–50Ω (power-dependent; e.g., ~24Ω for 2000W). An infinite reading means the heating tube is internally open.
- Use a megohmmeter or multimeter high-range mode to measure heating tube insulation to ground — should be >1MΩ. If insulation resistance is too low, the heating tube needs replacement.
- Inspect the heating tube terminals for burn marks — if found, clean and re-tighten or replace the terminals.
- Heating tube replacement involves disassembling the outer tub and sealing work. Contact TCL after-sales for on-site replacement.
